Dr. Andreas Reichel, CEO
Born 1961
In addition to his position as Chairman of the Managing Directors of Iqony GmbH (since January 1, 2023), Andreas Reichel also holds the same position at STEAG GmbH and STEAG Power GmbH.
Previously, Andreas Reichel was Managing Labor Director of E.ON Germany from 2018 to mid-2020, a position he held in personal union with his work as a member of the Board of Management and Labor Director of E.ON edis AG, now E.DIS AG, which he had held since 2006. After studying law in Bonn, he obtained his doctorate from the University of Cologne in 1994 and became a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament in 1985. In addition to his ten years as a member of parliament, Andreas Reichel was Secretary General of the FDP in North Rhine-Westphalia from 1992. Between 1995 and 2006, he was responsible for communications at the former Ruhrkohle AG and Ruhrgas AG.
Susanne Pietsch, CFO

Susanne Pietsch began her professional career in 1996 at the auditing firm pwc, where she worked as an auditor and tax consultant.
In 2011, she moved to the STEAG Group, where she held various management functions in the finance area during her ten years of service until 2022. Among other things, she headed STEAG's corporate accounting, financial management in the Group's project development, and accounting. In the meantime, she also headed STEAG's management office for more than two years and was managing director of STEAG Waste to Energy GmbH. Between March 2022 and March 2023, Susanne Pietsch moved to AOK Systems GmbH as Managing Director before returning to the company as Head of Finance at Iqony. At the end of August 2023, she took over the function of Chief Financial Officer at Iqony GmbH.
Dr. Ralf Schiele, COO

In addition to his position as Managing Director of Iqony GmbH (since January 1, 2023), Ralf Schiele also holds the same position at STEAG GmbH and STEAG Power GmbH.
With a doctorate in mechanical engineering, he started his professional career in 1999 at STEAG encotec GmbH as project manager. At the end of 2000, he moved to the then STEAG AG as project manager IPP project development, initially responsible for the Southeast Asia region and then for Europe. From mid-2004 to the beginning of 2008, he took over the position of Head of Sales and Marketing at STEAG KETEK IT GmbH and in 2008 moved to Evonik Industries AG to join the Group Development and Portfolio Management department. In May 2011, Ralf Schiele joined STEAG Energy Services GmbH as a member of the Management Board, and from July 2011 to May 2021 he held the post of Chairman of the Management Board. Finally, he has been a member of the management board of STEAG GmbH since October 2020.
Ralf Schmitz, CTO

In addition to his work for Iqony GmbH (since January 1, 2023), Ralf Schmitz also holds the same position at STEAG GmbH and STEAG Power GmbH.
The graduate industrial engineer, partner of the management consultancy Schmitz & Partner, has been working successfully as CEO or CRO in the restructuring of industrial companies for more than two decades. He also has proven experience in the development and expansion of new business areas and in negotiations with financiers. He has been a member of the Management Board of STEAG GmbH since July 2021.
