With 85 years of experience in the planning, construction and operation of energy facilities, the company provides holistic solutions for the decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization of the energy supply.

Iqony focuses on renewable energies and bridging technologies that can be used in a climate-neutral way now and in the future. In addition to solar, wind and geothermal energy, the portfolio includes hydrogen solutions, storage technologies, engineering services and gas-fired power plants. Dr. Andreas Reichel

Chairman of the Board of Management and Labor Director

Born 1961
In addition to his position as Chairman of the Managing Directors of Iqony GmbH (since January 1, 2023), Andreas Reichel also holds the same position at STEAG GmbH and STEAG Power GmbH.

Previously, Andreas Reichel was Managing Labor Director of E.ON Germany from 2018 to mid-2020, a position he held in personal union with his work as a member of the Board of Management and Labor Director of E.ON edis AG, now E.DIS AG, which he had held since 2006. After studying law in Bonn, he obtained his doctorate from the University of Cologne in 1994 and became a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament in 1985. In addition to his ten years as a member of parliament, Andreas Reichel was Secretary General of the FDP in North Rhine-Westphalia from 1992. Between 1995 and 2006, he was responsible for communications at the former Ruhrkohle AG and Ruhrgas AG.

Dr. Ralf Schiele

In addition to his position as Chairman of the Management Board of Iqony GmbH (since March 22, 2024), Ralf Schiele also complements the management team of STEAG GmbH and STEAG Power GmbH.

With a doctorate in mechanical engineering, he started his professional career in 1999 at STEAG encotec GmbH as project manager. At the end of 2000, he moved to the then STEAG AG as project manager IPP project development, initially responsible for the Southeast Asia region and then for Europe. From mid-2004 to the beginning of 2008, he took over the position of Head of Sales and Marketing at STEAG KETEK IT GmbH and in 2008 moved to Evonik Industries AG to join the Group Development and Portfolio Management department. In May 2011, Ralf Schiele joined STEAG Energy Services GmbH as a member of the Management Board, and from July 2011 to May 2021 he held the post of Chairman of the Management Board. Finally, he has been a member of the management board of STEAG GmbH since October 2020.

Dieter Dehlke

Dieter Dehlke has been a member of the Management Board of STEAG GmbH since January 2024 and has also been a member of the management team of Steag Power GmbH and Iqony GmbH since February 2024.

After studying economics, he gained his first professional experience in investor relations at the Preussag Group in Hanover in the early 1990s, and ultimately took on the role of treasurer for the North American business. He gained further professional experience in positions at Siemens in Munich, Babcock Borsig in Oberhausen, Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft in Kiel, MAN Ferrostaal in Essen and the GEA Group in Bochum. Dieter Dehlke also worked at the Hamburg shipyard Blohm+Voss and the Dutch shipbuilder Damen before joining the HWP-Handwerkspartner Group in Hamburg as CFO in January 2022.

Nicole Hildebrand

Nicole Hildebrand joined the management boards of STEAG GmbH, STEAG Power GmbH and Iqony GmbH in January 2024.

A political science graduate and fully qualified lawyer, she is a partner at STEAG’s owner Asterion Industrial Partners (AIP), where she is responsible for the energy business. She has worked for the Spanish infrastructure fund since it was founded in 2018. As an acknowledged energy expert, she has a total of 16 years of transaction experience in the European energy and utilities sector. Before joining AIP, Nicole Hildebrand worked for ten years in energy trading at Morgan Stanley in London and New York. She started her career at the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London and Frankfurt. Nicole Hildebrand holds an MBA from the Saïd Business School at Oxford University.
