Hydrogen

For a climate-neutral economy

Everyone is talking about hydrogen - so are we! And not only that: We are developing projects in the Ruhr and Saar regions to produce green, i.e. climate-neutral hydrogen on an industrial scale. This hydrogen will help industry gradually make its production processes climate-neutral. Only in this way can Germany and Europe remain an attractive industrial location in the long term and at the same time do what is necessary to counteract climate change.

We are convinced that hydrogen must be produced in particular where it is needed - i.e. at industrial sites that can use it to position themselves for the future. But in the long term, too, we see the need to establish decentralized hydrogen production close to demand to secure supplies for industry and mobility. The aim of our projects in the Ruhr and Saar regions is to make this possible.

After all, an important lesson from the current energy crisis is to avoid new dependencies in the transition to an increasingly hydrogen-based energy supply by ensuring sufficient domestic basic supplies of hydrogen.
