Construction of an open space photovoltaic plant
Oening, Germany
The municipality of Oening is characterised by renewable energies. A 15 MWp ground-mounted photovoltaic system was installed in an existing wind farm for the Altmühl-Jura Energiegenossenschaft (AJE), which is planning several PV projects in the surrounding area to supply the local population with renewable energy.
Several ground-mounted PV systems are therefore currently being planned and realised. The first project has now been successfully realised after the cooperative itself took over the planning of the solar park.
Over 25,000 solar modules were installed on an area of 12.5 hectares, the energy generated by which is then fed into the distribution grid via the Oening substation. With an annual power generation of approx. 16,000 MWh, this can now supply 4,000 households in the region and save an estimated 8,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
This project underlines our expertise and experience in the EPC sector, which we have built up over many years. However, our focus today is clearly on our role as a leading independent power producer (IPP). Visit our website to find out more about our current projects and our commitment to sustainable energy.
