New energy for decarbonization
Decarbonization is one of the crucial steps towards achieving the energy supply of the future.
With 85 years of experience in planning, constructing, and operating power facilities, Iqony offers individual and holistic solutions. On behalf of our partners, we focus on renewable energies and bridging technologies that can be used in a climate-neutral way in the future. We implement projects for industrial companies, energy providers, municipalities, and local governments the world over, in doing so focusing our attention on growth projects. Electricity storage systems enable us to balance out the volatility of renewable energies and ensure a stable supply at all times. Hydrogen production helps key industries in their efforts to decarbonize. But it is renewable energies that are the pivotal factor on the road to achieving decarbonization. Our focus here is on planning, constructing, and operating wind farms and photovoltaic systems. We carry out energy concept studies, assist our customers in switching to new technologies and fuels, undertake construction and commissioning, and take care of operations management and maintenance. We already generate more than 600 MW from renewable energies in our own plants, and over 4,500 MW from renewables are generated with our support or in facilities where we manage operation and maintenance. On top of this, we have set ourselves the goal of becoming climate neutral by 2040.
