Energy Hubs

Energy infrastructure for the energy transition

We are developing STEAG's power plant sites into energy hubs for sustainable energy supply. We do this together and in partnership with regional companies and industrial operations as well as other stakeholders, such as politicians. After all, a high level of acceptance is important for infrastructure projects to succeed.

This is particularly true in the current energy crisis, in which we must set the course for a climate-neutral and secure energy supply for tomorrow. The existing power plant sites play a central role in this. This is because they offer an excellent starting position thanks to their location in industrial centers and the technical infrastructure already in place, such as a high-performance grid connection. This helps to ensure that projects involving energy solutions for the future, such as hydrogen, energy storage and renewable energies, can be implemented quickly.

In addition, the further development of existing sites also helps to directly and indirectly secure qualified jobs in the region.
