Contracting

Contracting is a common practice in industry and property management. As a contractor, Iqony takes over the design, planning, installation, operation and maintenance of the energy systems required for the processes concerned. This ensures a high degree of security of supply and extremely efficient operation, from which corporate earnings also benefit.

Energy networks, especially local heating networks, can significantly increase the efficiency of energy systems and provide additional entrepreneurial profit. We operate the Saar district heating network, and also reliably supply heat to over 300,000 households and many companies in the Ruhr region. Our contracting models are always based on our customers’ requirements, such as greater energy efficiency or the use of renewable energy sources.

As a contractor, Iqony installs or takes over complete generation plants, providing services which include procurement of energy media, repair materials and operating supplies. Iqony takes on the operation and maintenance and, as is customary in contracting, supplies fixed quantities of energy. The customer can concentrate on its core business. We operate such models at the Karlsberg brewery in the Saarland, the Karstadt headquarters’ energy center in Essen and the Ford works in Saarlouis.
