Energy studies

If a local authority wants to switch to renewable energies, it first needs a comprehensive analysis of how much energy is consumed in which areas, which generation capacities are required for this and how the distribution takes place. For this purpose, Iqony compiles individual energy studies which map that precisely and provide recommendations for action during the switchover.

Our engineers develop tailor-made strategies for municipalities, describing fossil-free fuels and technologies that will help them to make the transition successfully. Iqony energy studies also include financial aspects ranging up to possible subsidies and parameters for a high security of supply, such as the use of storage or self-produced hydrogen.

A project brief presents details of the purpose, costs, times, performance requirements and constraints. Based on our energy study, the Erlangen municipal utility replaced a coal-fired boiler with a gas-fired boiler that can also be fired with green gases. This alone reduced CO2 emissions by 38%.
