Municipalities & public utilities
Electromobility
Electrification of transport is a difficult task, especially in municipalities. It is easy to convert a streetcar to green electricity. However, this is much more difficult for buses and other public transport systems. In addition, every local authority and municipal utility also has a responsibility to ensure that private transport becomes electric.
Both battery-powered and combustion-powered vehicles can be used for buses, waste disposal vehicles, and the municipal truck fleet. The green energy is supplied by the municipal utilities themselves, either as charging electricity or as hydrogen produced by electrolysis.
For the electrification of private transport, municipal utilities will have to provide a sufficient charging infrastructure and supply it reliably with green electricity. We support this with a comprehensive analysis of demand and the best locations, for example on municipal properties such as parking lots at government offices and swimming pools.
